About Me

Hi, I’m Erik Ishimatsu, a licensed massage therapist and the founder of Silver Lake Massage. My passion for health, movement, and recovery led me to specialize in injury recovery, so that you can move and feel better in your daily life.

I work with people in both a therapeutic and clinical capacity. Therapeutic massage is what most people know and combines Swedish style with Deep Tissue work. This style is focuses on stress reduction, relaxation, and improved circulation in the muscles. Clinical Massage focuses more on specific muscles that are causing pain. This style focuses on injury recovery, both acute and chronic. I work with clients fully clothed so that they can get up and move around during the session to feel and experience the work. We will work on an area, get up and move to see if the pain is gone or has moved to a different area, then get back on the table to work some more. Through this approach I have helped many clients improve and often get rid of their chronic pain. Common areas of pain are knees, hips, lower back, and shoulders.
